About the role

\n\n

We're hiring a hands-on Layout Manager to lead our full-custom analog, RF, and mixed-signal layout team. This is a true dual-threat role: you'll own top-level layout, layout strategy, planning, and block assignment, while still doing hands-on layout yourself.

\n\n

You'll be the direct personnel manager for 3–6 layout engineers, growing the team and setting the standard for quality, schedule, and methodology.

\n\n

What you'll do

\n\n

Own top-level chip layout, floorplanning, and overall layout strategy
Plan layout work, assign blocks, and build schedules and resource estimates
Stay hands-on with full-custom analog, RF, and mixed-signal block layout
Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3–6 layout engineers
Drive DFM-aware hierarchical layout practices across the team
Ensure clean physical verification (DRC, LVS, ERC) using Calibre
Apply sound techniques for matching, shielding, guard rings, and latch-up prevention
Mitigate layout-dependent effects, including IR drop, RC delay, electromigration, self-heating, and crosstalk
Partner with circuit designers to meet performance, area, and schedule goals

\n\n

What we're looking for

\n\n

8–10+ years of full-custom analog, RF, or mixed-signal layout experience, and still hands-on
5 years managing layout teams
Proven experience with top-level layout, layout strategy and planning, and block assignment
A desire to be the direct personnel manager for 3–6 layout engineers
3+ years with Cadence Virtuoso/VXL and Mentor Calibre DRC/LVS/ERC
Strong understanding of matching, shielding, guard rings, and latch-up
Working knowledge of layout-dependent effects: IR drop, RC delay, electromigration, self-heating, and crosstalk
Experience with DFM hierarchical layout, schedules, and resource estimates
Broad process technology experience
BSEE or a related field
U.S. citizen or green card holder (ITAR)
